Effects: warming the meridian to dissipate cold; nourishing blood and unblocking the vessels.
Indications: insufficiency of yang qi; blood deficiency with cold congealing; external contraction of cold; reversal cold of the limbs; cold entering the Meridian and Collateral; pain in lumbus, thigh, legs and feet; early stage frostbite without rupture; fine pulse verging on expiry or sunken-fine pulse.
